George W. Moody, 62 years old, Morgan County farmer and native of Putnam County died yesterday in the Robert W. Long Hospital after a brief illness. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Bessie Moody and a daughter, Miss Irma Moody both of Morgantown; twin sons, Corporal John Moody and Private First Class Willis Moody both of whom are in the South Pacific and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon in the First Baptist Church in Barnard, Putnam County. Burial will be in Barnard Cemetery. – kbz

Moody, George W. passed away Tuesday at the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis at the age of 62.  He had been a resident of Roachdale and was ill for a few days preceding his death. Mr. Moody was the son of John Moody and Elizabeth Dobbs Moody. He was born 14 February 1882 in Putnam County hospital. He lived a great part of his life in Putnam County before moving to a farm in Morgantown fifteen years ago.  Surviving are the wife; one daughter, Mrs. Irma Ellis of Indianapolis; two sons, Willis of Indianapolis, and John in Hawaii; a brother Ernest Moody of Indianapolis; a sister Mrs. Oma Farrow of Roachdale and six grandchildren.  The funeral was held last Thursday at the Barnard Baptist Church.  (Note: From Indiana Death records he is buried at Barnard Cemetery, Putnam County, Indiana, MSW)
